From imagination. Design incorporating a text of my own composition: The Fronds of my Heart shall unfurl towards the Sunshine of Your Love. The idea of the paper fan unfurling suggested the unfurling fronds of a fern, which in turn suggested the 'fronds' of the human heart opening up towards the warm sunshine of love.

This piece was also inspired by the Valentine's theme of many of the scissor-cuts of Elizabeth Cobbold (1731-1801), who lived in my hometown of Ipswich, Suffolk.

Price: £500

Opening times: Friday 16th May: 2.00pm-8.15pm. Saturday 17th May: 10.00am-5.00pm. Admission: £2 per person.

The silhouette paper-cut and Scherenschnitt demonstration will evoke in particular the exquisite contributions to this genre by Elizabeth Cobbold (née Knipe, 1764–1824).
