Paper-cutting Workshop, Tindalls Colchester, Sat 1st August 2015
Loïs Cordelia will lead a paper-cutting workshop at Tindalls Art Shop, Trinity Street, Colchester, on Saturday 1st August 2015, demonstrating how to achieve a beautiful paper-cut image, using Swann Morton scalpels.
Paper-cutting is not as difficult or scary as it looks! The results can be meticulously detailed and intricate, or bold and minimalistic. Using a Swann-Morton scalpel, Lois will demonstrate step-by-step the very simple basic techniques of how to create an effective cut-paper design. Feel free to bring some of your own visual references, if you wish, or come along on the day and be inspired by a wide range of cut-paper styles, motifs, designs, patterns and imagery from around the globe.
The workshop runs from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm. Registration is at 9.45am at the front desk downstairs. Morning and afternoon tea and coffee are provided, please bring a packed lunch if you wish or there are several good cafes locally.
Cost: £35. All materials needed for the day are provided. Please book via the Tindalls website, or telephone 01206 579729.
Everyone attending a workshop will receive generous discounts on all purchases on the day - some exclusions may apply.
