Paper-Cutting Demo, Tindalls, Ely, Saturday 4th June 2016
Lois Cordelia will demonstrate her intricate paper-cut art, using a Swann-Morton scalpel, at an all-day live art demo at Tindalls Art & Graphics, Ely, on Saturday 4th June, 2016. Lois balances the surgical precision of the blade with something far less precise: an energetic, free-flowing sketch that seeks to capture the fleeting essence of the intangible. She inches her way down either side of pencil lines to create delicate strands and feathery details, emphasising the fragile nature of her unusual medium, though her choice of imagery is often unexpected and challenging.
Drop by any time between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm to see Lois in action, ask questions, and be inspired. (Lois will be leading another of her popular workshops at Tindalls, Ely, on Saturday 16th July 2016, so this is the perfect opportunity to come and have a sneak preview.)
Venue: Tindalls Art & Graphics, 4 Market Place, ELY, Cambridgeshire, CB7 4NP. Tel: 01353 669498.
