Based on
a black and white photograph of American
vocalist, Eva Cassidy (1963-1996), as
used on the Time After Time album
cover. I was captivated by the wistful
expression in her eyes. My father once
took a photograph of myself as a very
young girl, looking remarkably similar to
this; hence I immediately felt a bond.
While painting this portrait, I
surrounded myself with Eva's beautiful
music.
