Daniel in the Lions' Den (i)

Title: Daniel in the Lions' Den (i)
Medium: Miniature silhouette created on computer.
Dimensions: Original size 800 x 600 pixels
Date: Autumn 2001
Comments: Created as an illustration for my Words of Wisdom - Biblical Quotations in Reggae Song Lyrics website.

Daniel was a prophet of the Old Testament. He was thrown into the lions' den for continuing to pray to the one true God, despite being ordered only to pray to King Darius. But an angel "shut the lions' mouths", and Daniel was spared. Daniel’s courage and faith are a frequent inspiration in Rasta reggae song lyrics, which often proclaim that “Daniel and the lions were friends”.
