The "Holy Herb"

Title: The "Holy Herb"
Medium: Drawing on paper, scanned, and coloured on computer
Dimensions: Original drawing approx. A4.
Date: c. 2002
Comments: The word 'herb' appears frequently in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, and has been interpreted by some as a justification for the use of the so-called 'holy herb' (marijuana) for meditative and curative purposes. However, the word has changed its meaning over the centuries, as have many other words also found in the KJV. Smoking marijuana is not a biblical concept. I have never been a smoker in any way, shape or form. I include the image here because I consider the shape of the marijuana leaf aesthetically very beautiful.
