Inspired
by the famous hymn, The Lord of the
Dance:
"They cut me down but I
leapt up high,
I am the Life that will never never
die".
The imagery of roses is strongly
Rosicrucian, symbolising the purified
blood of man. Christ as the Lord of the
Dance leaps from a gnarled cross of dying
thorns. The cross represents mortality.
Christ holds the Crown of Thorns behind
him, and the sprouting Rod of Aaron in
front. He wears the victor's crown of
laurels.
