This piece is a
small "visual prayer" for
peace, dedicated to all those suffering
during recent events in Palestine-Israel.
The design incorporates the calligraphic
Arabic and Hebrew words for
"Peace" ("Salam"
and "Shalom"
respectively), giving shape to the dove's
wings, and woven into the veins of the
olive leaf.
Original
silhouette paper-cut sold - in a private
collection in Germany. Similar work may
be commissioned. Prints also available.
