A Transport of Delight, Big Trunk Trail, Luton
"I was delighted to be asked to paint 'A Transport of Delight' for the Big Trunk Trail, as it was inspired by Luton's unique Mossman Collection of horse-drawn vehicles. I hope people will enjoy discovering all the intricate details of the silhouettes that celebrate historical, fictional and fairytale transport connected with horses - and elephants - with a nod to Luton's hat-making heritage. I've painted more than two dozen statues for art trails all over the country, and it always means a lot to be personally involved in raising awareness of the wonderful work that organisations like Keech Hospice Care undertake in the community. Right now, in this post-covid world, I think we need bright colourful art trails more than ever before to boost public morale, get people out walking again and supporting local businesses."
