Community Artist, Speed-Painter, Sculptor - commissions welcome
"Birdbook I" published by Sidekick Books, Spring 2011
Lois Cordelia's dramatic cut-paper silhouette artwork is featured on the front cover of Birdbook I - Towns, Parks, Gardens & Woodland (published Spring 2011 by Sidekick Books), an anthology of poems and illustrations celebrating British birds.
The front cover design features the charismatic alchemist Dr Fulminare, who presides over the Birdbook series (several further volumes, covering various British bird habitats, are planned). Lois contributed a number of the interior vignette illustrations for the book, also rendered in the paper-cut medium: Great Tit, House Sparrow, Coal Tit, Scottish Crossbill, and Goldfinch.
Lois Cordelia was interviewed by Kirsten Irving of Sidekick Books in 2011:
