Speed-Acrylics Human Portraits Workshop, Colchester, 20th Sep 2016

August 30, 2016  •  Leave a Comment

On Tuesday, 20th September 2016, Lois Cordelia will teach one of her increasingly popular series of "speed-painting" workshops at Tindalls, Colchester, on the theme of human portraits, using acrylics.

Lois encourages you to let go conventional ideas about realistic colour and obsessive detail, and instead be expressive and spontaneous with colour, launch into bold, sweeping brushstrokes on a large scale, and communicate more with less.

The focus will be more on freedom of expression than on achieving an accurate likeness, though Lois will be happy to give advice on both. Prior experience of portrait painting is helpful but not essential. Ideal workshop for beginners and anyone wanting to loosen up their painting style.
