Tindalls Arts and Crafts have teamed up with the George Hotel, Colchester, to present the much anticipated "Art Extravaganza" series of live art demos and workshops, led by six different artists, working in various mediums: Susan Boddy (Watercolours), Loïs Cordelia (Acrylics), Max Hale (Water-Mixable Oils), Mike Murtagh (Pastels), Jamie Pirie (Coloured Pencils), and Annette Standing (Coloured Pencils).
 

Loïs Cordelia will be demoing her dramatic acrylic speed-painting techniques at the George Hotel, 116 High St, Colchester CO1 1TD, on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th March, from 9.30 am until 4.30 pm. On Saturday 12th March, she will also lead an acrylic speed-painting workshop from 12.00 noon until 2.00 pm:

Ever wanted to loosen up your painting style and be more spontaneous? Loïs Cordelia will lead this two hour taster speed-painting workshop, encouraging you to let go conventional ideas about colour and launch into bold, sweeping brushstrokes on a large scale, using quality Amsterdam Acrylics and Ampersand Boards. The colour range will include metallic colours (gold, silver, etc) to enrich your painting with an unexpected shimmering brilliance.
 

Feel free to bring in some visual references of your own, if you would like, or choose from a selection on offer on the day. Subject matter is not crucially important.
